Travel Health Nurse – Nomad Travel Clinic, Bristol

We currently have a Travel Health Nurse vacancy in our Nomad Travel clinic in Bristol. Full time or part time.  Registered Nurse with experience in general nursing and ideally experience in travel health (although not entirely necessary as full training will be given). Personal experience of travel and an interest in travel medicine is beneficial. Description:

The job holder will be responsible for
  • Providing travel health clinic services within the scope of the MASTA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Providing risk assessment, advice, administering vaccinations, malaria prophylaxis and other travel related medicines within the framework of MASTA Patient Group Directions. Managing CQC requirements
  • Utilising MASTA's e-clinic software to provide up to date information and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Ensuring good communication within the clinical team and a safe environment for the delivery of clinical services in MASTA's.
Essential Skills
  • Registered Nurse with experience in general nursing and ideally experience in travel health (although not entirely necessary as full training will be given)
  • Personal experience of travel and an interest in travel medicine is beneficial.
  • An understanding of the regulatory and governance frameworks within healthcare.
  • Experience in clinical consultation, vaccine administration including intradermal vaccinations and venepuncture (or willingness to learn)
  • Computer literacy is essential as is the ability to work as part of a team, be enthusiastic, conscientious, well organised and have a willingness to learn new skills.
