Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know, with clear answers to the questions we're asked most.

How far in advance should I book travel vaccinations?
Where possible, book around 6 to 8 weeks before you travel, as some vaccines need time to take effect and others involve several doses. That said, it's rarely too late, and many vaccines still offer valuable protection closer to departure.
What if I'm travelling in less than two weeks?
You can still be protected with some vaccinations and appropriate malaria medication. Where multiple doses are needed, our team can advise on the best options for your timeline, so you travel prepared and protected.
Can I get my vaccines during the same appointment?
Yes, in most cases. Most vaccines can be given on the day, and it's safe to have several at once. Where a vaccine needs multiple doses, we'll arrange your follow-up visits, and our clinical team can advise on spreading other vaccines across those appointments too. There may be occasions where a vaccine isn't available, and we'll do our utmost to provide it at a follow-up or an alternative location.
What vaccinations do I need?
It depends on your specific trip, and it's not just about the country you're visiting. What regions you visit within the country, how long you're staying, what you'll be doing, and your personal health all affect which vaccines you need. Use our destination checker for a country-level guide, then book an appointment and our specialists will tailor it precisely to you and your trip.
Can I get a same-day or same-week appointment?
Often, yes. We have a network of 100+ UK clinics, including evenings and weekends at many locations, so you can get seen quickly even for last-minute trips.
